The Fiber Show is an opportunity for fiber artists to. showcase their work.
Judge’s Statement
This exhibit is representative of a good variety of Fiber Arts. The compilation of abilities shows varying levels of professionalism, creative thought, depth of feeling and spiritual awareness.
Comic endeavors and the mind and heart of the inner child in some of the works were particularly pleasing.
Congratulations to all the represented artists.
Dr. Susan Voso Lab
Susan Voso Lab received her BS degree from Syracuse University, her MS from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) and her PhD from Florida State University. Her Doctoral program was connected to Historic Dress and Textiles and Weaving Programs.
Dr. Lab taught at Virginia Tech as a grad student. She also taught Apparel Design & History at the University of Vermont for 2 years and at Florida State as a grad student. She instructed at BGSU from 1987-2013 in fields such as Weaving, Intro to Art Classes, Apparel Design & History, Conservation & Preservation of Historic Collections and Historic Costume Collections Management. She received tenure in 1993 and was one of five Finalists out of 670 faculty members for a BGSU Master Teacher Award.
